Foliobook 4 maintains the fundamental functionalities of its predecessor while introducing significant improvements in usability and visual design. The latest version simplifies the process of organizing work on the move, allowing users to retain their personal branding and effectively showcase their portfolios on the most advanced hardware devices available.

This major update involves a comprehensive rewrite of the application's core architecture. Additionally, the adoption of a new subscription-based business model aims to ensure ongoing development and access to the app's premium features for years to come, fostering a sustainable user experience.

Existing Foliobook users can take advantage of a complimentary trial period to transfer their current portfolios into the new application, thereby securing their work against obsolescence post-retirement of the previous version. Users who opt not to subscribe will still be able to access their portfolios in a read-only format, preserving their content.

Foliobook 4 includes enhanced Drag and Drop functionality compatible with iPadOS, along with support for importing images exported from third-party applications via file sharing—such as Adobe Lightroom™ and others. An automated migration process facilitates the seamless transfer of portfolios from older versions, reducing setup time and efforts.

The application supports direct importing of images in PNG, JPG, TIFF, GIF, and BMP formats through drag-and-drop or sharing features. Entire albums from the Photos app can be imported into a Foliobook gallery in a single step. Cloud services including Dropbox™, Box™, iCloud Drive, Photos, Microsoft OneDrive™, and pCloud™ facilitate smooth image transfer through drag-and-drop or sidebar sharing. Compatibility with services like Amazon Drive™ and Transmit enables additional flexibility, depending on vendor support.

These enhancements position Foliobook 4 as an elegant yet minimal platform for photographers and artists to present their work. All portfolios are available offline, ensuring accessibility regardless of internet connectivity.

Designed for photographers, agents, designers, models, architects, and creative professionals, Foliobook 4 offers a straightforward and visually appealing way to display photographic and artistic portfolios. It is favored by art galleries, museums, photographic agencies, and sales teams for its ability to share select portfolios across multiple iPads efficiently.

The app features a customizable home page that adapts to portrait or landscape orientation and provides extensive options for personal branding. This personalizes each portfolio presentation, adding a professional touch that can be adjusted on-the-fly.

User interaction is made engaging with animated dissolve and wipe transitions in slideshow mode. Additionally, media can be displayed via AirPlay on an Apple TV or through HDMI connections, enabling users to showcase their portfolios with synchronized music on large displays.

The inclusion of video presentation capabilities enhances the overall experience. This feature has been refined for greater stability and is prepared for future updates that promise ongoing improvements in functionality.
